We had two weddings this weekend. One a cousin and one a family so close, for many years, my girls believed they were actually cousins.
One thing stood out to me this wedding weekend, looking at the guests in attendance.
Our faith has been passed from generation to generation, and our God has been the same neverending, never changing source of love, hope, grace, and forgiveness. These families, many generations ago, put their faith in God and belief in Jesus, and their faith has been passed down to all these generations.
Tomorrow it will be 3 months. A QUARTER OF A YEAR, has passed, and yet it still feels like it was yesterday. Daddy was honored on the memorial table at my cousin’s wedding and I stood and cried looking at all the generations who have been such an influence on our lives and their faith and belief in the same, one true God, that I put my faith into today.
I have hope, because of Jesus and his death and resurrection, that one day I will see my Daddy again.
While I hate that he is missing so much here, He wouldn’t trade it for what he is experiencing now, and I don’t blame him.
